Bus Service Consultation

Bus Service Consultation

Leicestershire County Council are consulting on Public Transport Services in the County.

The 128 Bus Service which comes through Hoby is identified as being a risk of being discontinued.

If you have an opinion please see the attached information and reply to the consultation by the closing date of midnight on June 13th 2018

Heavy Snow, Brooksby Road, Hoby

The heaviest snow of the winter fell over night on the 17th March, causing disruption for many drivers on the Sunday morning.

The Service at Hoby church was cancelled.

The Hoby with Rotherby Neighbourhood Watch WhatsApp is now up and running. It is starting with 24 contacts on it, but the Parish Council is hoping for many more.

The Wild Flower Lectern has now been installed on Brooksby Road, Hoby. It provides valuable information about the wild flowers and insects to be found on this protected verge, maintained by the Parish Council.

Heavy Snow, Hoby Road, Ragdale

The 'Beast from the East' (Siberia) brought extreme weather conditions to the UK at the beginning of March. The snow and strong winds caused significant drifting on the Hoby Road at Ragdale on March 1st.

The picture shows the road after it had been opened again, but the drifts on the side of the road were still visible.

A very cold start to what was supposed to be the first day of spring!
